What is a Scarecrow Trail?
A scarecrow trail is a great Community event for all to enjoy. You can get involved either as a Scarecrow maker or come along and follow the trail, or both.
In a scarecrow trail, members of the public and local businesses make scarecrows and display them during the weekend of the trail.
In May we will sell ‘trail sheets’ with a map showing where all of the scarecrows are and details of a puzzle or riddle which can be solved by visiting the scarecrows. These trail sheets are to be returned, to the Village Hall, with the answers and a vote for the Community scarecrow they liked best.
The Village Hall then count up the votes for the best Community scarecrow and the trail sheet with the most correct answers on.
We have two categories to win a prize.
For the Best Community Scarecrow: If there is more than one winner, nominations will be put in a draw to pick the winner.
For the most correct answers in the Trail: If there is more than one sheet of correct answers they will be put in a draw to pick the winner.
The trail will run on over two days in May
£2 for each trail sheet
Trail sheets (with Map) will be available at Village Hall.
This will be a fun family event that all the family can enjoy.
